Behind The Chicken

Love and fried chicken go together as well as the two who built Daddy’s Chicken Shack. This isn’t the only love child Pace Webb (chef) and Chris Georgalas (entrepreneur) have together. Starting with a small stand at Smorgasburg, LA’s weekly food festival in downtown Los Angeles, taught the couple all they needed to know about working together through thick and thin. With their first bundle of joy on the way, it was time to find a way to serve accessible authentic inspired creations.  The classic fried chicken sandwich has been lovingly perfected by Pace over the years. Working on her catering company, Taste of Pace, has been a massive labor of love where she maintains massive spreads. Owning Daddy’s Chicken Shack, in comparison, has been a breath of fresh air. The underlying theme of the cuisine at Daddy’s is American southern with a hint of Asian, which is also fitting for the couple since Pace is from Texas and Chris is half Japanese. In the end, the duo just want to make you delicious umami bombs!
